• Please set up the Muzie.Live on your devices if you have not. 
  • Invitation Email: You will soon receive an invitation email from [email protected] to the email address we have on file for you. You must follow the link in the email to verify your account and complete the required details.
  • Username: When creating your account, please use the student's first and last name as the username. This is important to ensure I can easily identify and locate each student within the platform. Avoid using ambiguous usernames that could make this process difficult.
  • For online student under 15, please also set up a 2nd device (One for the student to see me and one for me to see their fingers on the piano).  For other students, I still strongly suggest a 2nd device to ensure better engagement during the lesson. 
  • Second Device Login: Muzie.Live requires a second account login to use a second device during our sessions. After setting up the primary account with your actual email and student’s name, you can create a second account for the additional device. 
    • Create a new STUDENT account for the 2nd device with the following muzie.live email (which is not a real email; it's only used for students requiring two devices):
      • Use the format “[created username][email protected]” and include my instructor code: ESTHERMUSIC. 
• Set Up:
  • Pencils, erasers, highlighters/crayons, and applicable music books and materials (homework folder, music books, theory books…. etc.)
  • A small table by the piano for writing works
  • An electronic device with a camera for a top/side view of fingers on the piano
  • Another electronic device with a bigger screen for front face view (For younger student, parent may even consider using their TV). 
  • One device for logging in and the 2nd device with audio (mic and speaker) off to avoid feedback
• Sign in 5 minutes before class starts to test the connection
• Keep the router close by the piano for the best WIFI signal, if possible
• Homework and instruction available in the student portal; please print it out
• For younger students age 10 and under, parent participation is mandatory, and please refrain from being distracted by house activities and electronic devices.
• For students under 15 years old, parents should be available to help with technical difficulties and ensure their successful participation.
